In our work, the public and decision-makers wrestle with tough issues and find solutions with broad support from a representative group of citizens. Using a mix of 21st century technology and the traditional New England-style Town Meeting, AmericaSpeaks offers a unique solution for involving citizens in the decision-making process.

AmericaSpeaks has engaged more than 165,000 people in all 50 states and around the world in large-scale citizen participation on issues such as the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site; the rebuilding of post-Katrina New Orleans; statewide health care reform in California; the national childhood obesity epidemic; the growing need for effective services for adolescents and adults with autism; and strategies for ensuring a sustainable fiscal future and a strong economic recovery nationally.
